Beatles 1966 Genuine Scranton Peeled Mono Butcher Cover w/Peeled Trunk Cover and Mono Pressing
This is a unique opportunity for somebody who is looking for a real Butcher Cover but has a limited budget and wants something good enough to frame. You surely won't find a better looking cover anywhere for less than $400. I am re-listing this one last time as the reserve was not met by less than $80. I've reduced the Buy It Now as well. What a great holiday gift for a Beatles fan. Keep in mind that there is touch up on this cover and some seam condition issues, but look at the photos and I'm sure you will agree that this isn't a bad looking Butcher Cover. And, it is less than half the price of a top quality cover !
While most of this peel is as good as anything you will ever see, there are sections at the bottom corners and a small spot on Ringo's sleeve that have been touched up. Please see the large close ups of these sections. My guess is that this was due by an amateur attempt at a peel by the original owner. The reason I say this, is that the bottom corners of the removed trunk slick are missing . That being said, the touched up spots are pretty hard to see unless one looks very closely or takes very clear close up photos. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this will frame nicely regardless of the touch up and will look nice on any wall !
Overall, this cover is used but in fair condition with large sections of repaired splitting on top, bottom and spine. Average wear/aging to the back with a few abrasion marks and tape stain residue on the seams /spine.
Please examine the photos carefully for exact condition. Near Mint Peeled Mono Butcher Covers can sell for as high as $1400 or more if they are really nice. While this is far from Near Mint,it looks pretty nice for the money when compared to the thrashed poorly peeled covers out there that come up under $500. This is a guaranteed original 1966 Capitol 3rd state (Peeled) Mono Butcher cover.
Also, this album cover comes with the peeled trunk slick in one piece with some wrinkling ,slight tearing from the peeling process and several inches of missing pieces in the lower right and left corners. condition as shown. Original Capitol Scranton Mono pressing in Poor (pretty trashed with many scratches) condition . Sorry but there is no inner sleeve included with this auction.

Please remember when bidding that this is a used album being sold in the condition as shown and this is a peeled version ,not a first state, so any imperfections/touch ups are the result of the gluing process at the Capitol factory or the removal/peeling process.
