Beatles - Yesterday And Today - Butcher Cover - No Reserve!
Original, 1966, peeled, stereo cover
First, the good news. This is an original 1966 cover. I know because I purchased it myself in 1966, and peeled it myself. And a decent peel job too, considering I had no idea what I was doing--or maybe I just got lucky and the cover pasted over it wasn't stuck down very well. In any case, I've seen a whole lot worse peel jobs. Now, for the bad news. This is the front cover only. The record was lost, and then the cover came apart. This, of course, significantly diminishes its value, but it's still an original cover. If it were whole, you would have to pay big bucks for it. This way, you can have a rare piece of rock history at a fraction of the the price you would otherwise pay, and once it's framed and hanging on your wall, it will look just as good anyway! Condition Of This Item: As stated above, this auction is for the front cover of the album only. As you can see from the photo of the item, there is only one significant spot where the cover was torn through in the process of peeling it--in the upper, right-hand corner. There's a smaller spot at the top of George's head, and some other--smaller yet--spots here and there across the cover. The bottom, right-hand corner shows some wear, and there is a crease in the cardboard on the lower right-hand edge that is visible from the back, but shows only as a fine line on the front, almost like a razor-thin cut in the very top layer of the slick. There are some slight signs of ring wear on the back of the cover from when it was whole and the record was in it. All in all, the cover is solid and suitable for framing. The item will be shipped in a cardboard LP mailer to ensure that it arrives undamaged. I DO NOT inflate shipping costs for additional profit as do many sellers on eBay. All I charge is what it costs me for materials and what the USPS charges.

USPS first class shipping is $3.50, which includes shipping, packaging costs, and delivery confirmation. Insurance is optional, but if you don't insure the item you will have no way to recover your money if the item is lost or damaged. Insurance is an additional $1.30 for the first $50.00, and $2.20 from there up to $100.00. For all items that are insured, it will be the buyer's responsibility to file any claims with USPS in the event of a lost or damaged item. The seller is responsible only for providing the buyer with all necessary information/documentation to file the claim.
