Beatles Stereo 3rd State (Peeled) Butcher Cover 

You are bidding on a genuine 1966 3rd State (peeled) Stereo example of arguably the most desired collectible rock record in existence. Keep in mind that the Stereo versions are reported to be 5 to 10 times more rare than their mono counterparts. Combined with the removed trunk slick, this would make a great candidate for framing. This comes complete with a COA certifying both the peeling process as well as the authenticity of this item. 

The peel is equally as nice and this presents as well as nearly any jacket we have offered in the past.  Most of the peels offered on the internet have noticeable damage to the Butcher slick, but not the case here. This is a gorgeous peel.  

Overall, this is a fairly typical jacket, structurally speaking, with average to moderate seam/spine issues that we see in jackets in the G to VG- range. The top seam lacks much of its paper on the very top of the seam, especially in the last six inches near the mouth opening. additionally there is a small chip of paper missing on the very top of the white paper above the Stereo designation on the front cover. Top seam has been professionally secured. Bottom seam is also chipped and missing several inches of paper throughout and to the right on the seam. The spine printing is mostly present although there is cracking to the paper throughout and loss of paper at the very top of the spine, in the very middle and the word "Today" is also missing (please see photos). This has also been secured. The back of the jacket is fairly clean with average tanning, light ring wear and bit of staining near the top edge and in the bottom right hand corner. Due to the repairs, we strictly advise not to attempt to place a record inside of this jacket.  Please see photos for details.  

This would make a perfect candidate for framing due to the nice quality of the peel and the fact that the trunk slick is in one piece and could also be framed. 

Comes with an original goldenrod 1966 inner sleeve and a Stereo Scanton record in G to VG condition (has not been play graded). The trunk slick is included and in condition as shown in framable condition with some light wear and tear. 

It should be emphasized that Butcher Covers of this quality are highly desired by collectors and are genuinely scarce as a quality Stereo peel..

This item is an original 1966 3rd State (Peeled) used example of the legendary Butcher Cover. This item is guaranteed to be authentic. Purchaser understands that this is a used item and therefore we request that that all photos be clearly examined prior to bidding. Given the fact that this item has been professionally peeled and altered from a 2nd state (unpeeled) condition to a 3rd state (peeled) example, this item has condition elements that reflect the process of treatment of the item when it was glued at the Capitol factory in 1966 as well as conditional elements from the actual peeling process. These elements generally involve mild glue lines that were made at the pressing plant when the trunk cover was pasted over but also include some minor issues from the removal process. This is not a new item but a used one that has been restored through a tedious and careful process.
