Beatles 3rd State Peeled Mono Butcher Cover w Removed Trunk Slick, Inner Sleeve and Record
Please read entire description/auction terms prior to bidding on this item. Thank You
This Butcher Cover is a first time offering. This offering is a high quality 3rd state (peeled) Butcher Cover that comes complete with the removed trunk slick. The overall condition of the jacket and peel places this offering in the top 2% of all peeled jackets. This is far superior in overall condition than what you usually see out there. As even novice record collectors know, condition is everything and most Butcher Covers have condition issues mainly due to their age and storage life, etc. This jacket was obviously taken care of and used lightly since its departure from the Capitol factory in 1966. The jacket has been painstakingly peeled to not only preserve the Butcher Cover underneath but also to include the removed the trunk slick. Check completed auctions as these better condition examples are only steadily rising as these rarely come up for sale in this condition. Take a look at the photos and please see below for specific condition description.
This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail. Please read complete description prior to bidding.
Condition:
Front of Jacket:

Front cover is gorgeous with nice colors and fine detail. Top quality peel and something you'd be proud to display. Capitol factory glue application lines are light on this one.
Please see photos to verify specific condition and feel free to contact with questions.

Seams:
Top and bottom seams are both complete with no splits. Please see photos to verify.
Spine:
Spine is also complete with all writing legible with just a few wrinkles. Unusual to find a nearly 60 year old jacket without seam or spine damage.
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket is very clean with only the lightest of wear/foxing. There is a small abrasion on the top of the back near the Capitol logo and a small stain in the bottom left hand corner. (Please see photo of back).
Trunk Slick:
Removed Trunk Slick is included with some wear, tear, repair and wrinkling. Regardless, it's pretty much in one piece and could be framed.
Record/Inner Sleeve:
Mono record looks decent with a few scratches record plays decently with some background noise and some tics in songs like Nowhere Man and Yesterday. No skips though. Included is East Coast Goldenrod Capitol Inner sleeve in decent shape with a few inches of splitting on bottom which is fairly typical on these inner sleeves.
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to the recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $34.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $34.99. No International Shipping on this item. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Sorry, but unfortunately, due to new and severe foreign governmental restrictions/overbearing and overly complex registration requirements in packaging/duty fees etc, we cannot ship outside of the US. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
Please note that Beatles T-shirt seen in auction photos is NOT INCLUDED in this auction.
Thank You and Happy Bidding !
