BEATLES - Beatles hits 'Signed' by Lennon & McCartney framed 7" Vinyl EP Record

Please read carefully:This auction is for a framed 'signed' copy of The Beatles Hits EP with 'signatures' on the cover supposedly by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
It has a 'certificate of authenticity' attached to the rear.
You need to make up your own mind about how likely it is to be genuine - but note:
The COA is hardly proof that these are original signatures - there is no item of additional proof. OK, so someone has signed the warranty but that does not necessarily convince me. I seem to recall that an awful lot of early Beatles' so-called autographs had been requested by people writing in to the official fan club and were in fact signed on the Beatles' behalf by the people running the fan club. So, you sent in a record sleeve and it came back to you - but did you really know it had been signed in person? My suspicion is that these 'autographs' were maybe obtained in that way. I may be entirely wrong, but please think carefully about what you may be buying! On the other hand ..... !
What you do get is something that looks pretty good and has been presentably framed. The vinyl has been placed in a supplementary Parlophone paper sleeve, though it originally came in a picture sleeve - probably to protect it after framing. I have not opened it up to check condition, but can't see any obvious spindle marking through the glass so I'm guessing that at the very least, it might be quite a nice copy of the EP.
I bought this as a 'nice to have' item some time ago from a chap who did house clearances - I am guessing that the original owner paid a fairly handsome sum for it.
