Description
Artist: THE BEATLES
Item: “The Beatles Collection” Box Set (14 discs)
This limited edition vinyl set was released in the U.S. in 1978, with a run of 3,000 copies; this is stamped #0790.
Label: CAPITOL - EMI. Catalog number is BC-13.
NOTE: This item came from the extensive personal collection of the former owner of a chain of retail music stores who retired from the business in the early 80’s. The collection was stored virtually untouched and unplayed since that time in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment. I will be selling many investment grade coloured vinyl LPs, promos, sealed LPs, and other rare collector items from the collection over the coming months. If you desire MINT albums, you will not be disappointed.
The winning bidder will be truly pleased with this rare box set! The condition is impeccable. The presentation box is superb, and was neatly stored in plastic jackets for all these years. All of the albums are still sealed in their original factory shrink wrap, with import sticker neatly affixed to each.
(Note: the “Rarities” album came from the factory unsealed. The disc is mint and unplayed. The “Rarities” paper sleeve is in excellent condition, with a tiny split at the bottom center seam being the only flaw.)
NOTE: The photo of the box appears to show a blemish across the title, but this is an illusion due to lighting. The box is, in fact, unblemished and the lettering is beautiful gold with no blemishes or flaws.
This set is a treasure. It looks as gorgeous as the day it left the factory, and will make a beautiful holiday gift for that hard-to-please Beatles collector on your gift list, or if you are that collector – will make a perfectly wonderful gift to yourself!
Please note that this is the rare numbered edition (0790 of 3,000), with the number embossed on the presentation box and the promotional rarities disc.
