This is a opened and unplayed vinyl record set from the Beatles - The Collection. This is the Mobile Fidelity top end audiophile version. As you can see in the pictures, this is a pristine copy of this Beatles collection. I opened this set but never played it.

I think every serious record collector should consider investing in a high quality example of the Beatles box set. Great music and great recording.

I am throwing in this ultra rare set of Beatles CD's to the winning bidder for FREE.  And you guys said I wasn't a nice guy! Ha! These CD's come with a story so sit back and enjoy the tale my audiophile junky friends...
Somewhere around 2004 these MFSL Beatles CD's started popping up on eBay.  I jumped on this full set and bought them new unopened from a guy in Japan through eBay. I played them all and thought then (and I still do) that they sounded superior to the regular versions. About 2 years ago I looked these CD's up and discovered they were not made by Mobile Fidelity but by someone in Japan. These are CD's made from a new set of MFSL vinyl records and CD's made this way are known as 'needle drops'. When done correctly needle drops can sound great - and these were done right. As you can see by the photos, this person went to a lot of trouble with the artwork. So I was fooled and I paid a lot at the time.  In a strange twist to all of this: these needle drop sets have a following and they are really hard to find and the values are climbing. Weird.
So, these rare needle drop CD's, recorded from the MFSL vinyl, are offered free to the winning bidder of this auction.
