Description

Original "The Beatles Christmas Album" released in late 1970. This was a compilation of the Beatles Fan Club records sent each Christmas to members of their fan club (US and UK) from 1963 to 1969. Each of these annual fan club records had a Christmas message from each Beatle to their fans. These yearly fan club records as well as the "Christmas Album" were not sold nor released to the general public.
Cover and LP are both VG+ (Very Good Plus) condition using the grading standards of the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" (6th edition). These grading standards tend to be more stringent than Goldmine.

This copy is Spizer version APP 100.SR1(af). This record was only ever pressed once at Capitol Records' Winchester, VA plant. The Winchester, VA insignia (a crude drawing of a Winchester rifle exists in the runout on both sides).
I accurately grade my records using a bright light so that the buyer knows exactly what they are receiving before they bid.
Record- SBC1-100A and SBC2-100A are written in the runout, the "Bell Sound" and "sf" logos, as well as the Capitol Record's Winchester, VA pressing plant indicator. See photos of these indicators. "MFD. BY APPLE RECORDS, INC." is printed on the full apple label. A few 'whispy' jacket rubs and a few minor shallow scratches exist. No skips or pops, though, when I played it through. The audio sounds very clear. One the fake releases, the audio is very tinny and poor.
Cover- One way of telling the authentic vs. fake copies is to examine the photos on both sides of the cover. The 2nd photo in from the bottom left corner has "Theater Royal" visible above John's head. On the fake covers, this text is totally unreadable. The fake copies also have blurry photos. There is minor wear to the corners and spine/edges. See photos.
The record has been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 record cleaner machine. The album will be shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer for protection. Payment is due within 3 days of purchase date and/or end of the auction. Please see my other Beatles records for sale as well.
