The amazing photo of THE BEATLES on horseback which graces the front cover was taken by noted photographer CURT GUNTHER, at a ranch in the Ozark Hills, Alton—Missouri on 19 September 1964.  THE BEATLES were travelling from Dallas to New York as part of their US tour, and stopped off at the ranch on a rest day to attend their Manager BRIAN EPSTEIN’s 30th Birthday celebration.

VG++ beautiful FULLY LAMINATED appearance—minor handling wear incl. first signs of ring-wear & minor creasing, crease fold near top corner, 30mm tear from opening edge of front cover.  Name “Lois Goodger” written in pen at top of back cover, can be easily removed (see digital pics).

Record:

VG+ visual: beautiful glossy sheen—HIGHLY ACCEPTABLE copy despite hairline scuffs on both sides (side 1: VG+ to VG++, side 2: VG light scratch at beginning of side 2/track 13); audible: just PLAYED LOUD through 100 WATT speakers and it SOUNDS GREAT overall (side 1 & side 2/tracks 8-10: VG++ underlying surface noise during quieter passages only, side 2/tracks 11-14: VG+ minor surface noise); labels: LOOKS SUPERB, hardly any spindle wear (see digital pics).
