Another from my personal collection of over 50,000 albums that I have aquired over a period of more than 45 years! I am an avid Beatles collector and I own over 1000 Beatles UK albums alone. An awesome original very early 'Beatles' 'Please Please Me' 4th UK Pressing in Mono originally released in 1963.
The most important thing is that this plays through without skips or jumps. WOW! Despite the obvious light crackle and pops heard this plays through clear and vibrant throughout without skips or jumps. (Listen below) Just look at the lovely condition of the original Cover!
This album is the UK 4th pressing variation. Features E.J.Day&co laminated front flipback rear with "Photos Angus Mcbean" bottom right starting between the G and S in Songs above.
The Labels Feature yello and Black Parlophone labels with "Recording First Published in 1963" on the labels (only 4th UK press)
Labels feature K T Tax code on side 1 labels
This vinyl is the original very thick and chunky type and free from any warping. Surface marks are seen but mainly just light whispy sleeve removal scratches/grazes only. A beautiful sounding copy with light isolated crackle/pops heard only! This is complete with the original UK printed E.J.Day & co Printed laminated front only cover in straight condition also. Normally this album is found in a terrible state looking very worn, but this cover is strong and straight and on initial inspection looks Better than Excellent,Super glossy laminate. Very, very hard to ever find like this after nearly 60 years old. A beautiful looking original cover rare to find.

Produced by George Martin, it was released on EMI's Parlophone label on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom, following the success of the band's first two singles "Love Me Do", which reached number 17 on the UK Singles Chart, and "Please Please Me" which reached number 1 on the NME and Melody Maker charts.
The album topped Record Retailer's LP chart for 30 weeks, an unprecedented achievement for a pop album at that time.
Aside from their already released singles, the Beatles recorded the majority of Please Please Me in one long recording session at EMI Studios on 11 February 1963.
On 20 February, Martin added overdubs to "Misery" and "Baby It's You". Of the album's 14 songs, eight were written by Lennon–McCartney (originally credited "McCartney–Lennon"). Rolling Stone magazine later cited these original compositions as early evidence of the Beatles' "the idea of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments".
Please Please Me hit the top of the UK album charts in May 1963 and remained there for 30 weeks before being replaced by With the Beatles.
This was surprising because the UK album charts at the time tended to be dominated by film soundtracks and easy listening vocalists.
Please Please Me was the first non-soundtrack album to spend more than one year consecutively inside the top ten of what became the Official UK Albums Chart (with 62 weeks).
This record run of consecutive weeks in the top ten for a debut album stood until April 2013, when Emeli Sandé's Our Version of Events achieved a 63rd consecutive week.

The vinyl
The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of warping. This is the original very thick and heavy slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. When angled in strong light, very light whyspy surface marks/scuffs may possibly be seen but nothing that caused any nasty loud constant clicks/ticks or pops but light general pops and crackle was heard in isolated places to mention and in between some tracks.
Please note most of the records storage life it has been stored in a separate poly sleeve to minimise any sleeve removal marks\scuffs. Any marks that could possibly ever be seen under a strong light would only be just light wyspy scuffs/sleeve removal as previously described.
The Audio Quality
I have played this album through prior to this listing at loud volume on a top system importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge. This audio is clear and vibrant through out with (no) loud constant clicks or pops and certainly no skips or jumps! (no nasty) distortion or any signs that this has been overplayed(Note: Please allow for isolated static type tick,ticks, pops and some crackle heard heard in isolated places. Very playable and enjoyable audio. Original UK press! 60 years old like this.
Please note! This vinyl has been stored in a case laying dormant for many years, A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static crackle\ticksand pops,,A constant clean before each play is recomended! This will reduce any static and will enhance the audio quality!
The labels
These are the original Yellow and Black Parlophone labels. Feature "Recording first published 1963" (only 4th UK press) K T tax code stamped on side 1.
Light spindle traces and light wear only. The spindle hole is perfectly round.
The record sleeve
This is the original Emitex poly lined record sleeve with light wear only light creases and yellowing with age only. Beginning to get fragile at the edges to mention and beginning to split. the record is now always stored seperately from the sleeve and cover. This is how I have always stored my records.The cover
This is the original 1st issue, 1st UK Press laminated front only E.J.Day &co cover. Exceptional condition and super glossy front cover. in exceptional condition throughout. Any storage wear noticed only if looked for only in my opinion, light creasings at the flipback yo mention. Amazingly no real nasty creases to mention. The spine is nice (rounded only E.Day covers) and all writing is readable. Try to find a better looking cover! Vey hard to find like this in my opinion!
