THE BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM

1968 UK STEREO 12" DOUBLE LP 1st pressing  Parlophone PCS 7067/8

Matrix Numbers : Side 1  YEX 709 - 1, stampers 4,  G DP;  Side 2  YEX 710 - 1, stampers 2, GG T

Side 3  YEX 711 - 1, stampers 3,  G P R;  Side 4  YEX 712 - 1, stampers 3, G A M

A very nice copy of this classic, sought after early pressing, with a low front number of 0167836.

All four sides of the vinyl are in excellent+ condition - no scratches or nasty scuffs and each side of the vinyl shines nicely, retaining lots of original gleam. Look closely under a bright light and there are some small wispy hairlines in evidence, but these re strictly surface only and to all intents and purposes the vinyl remains in true excellent plus condition.

The laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve is in very good+ condition. There are some small discolouration spots and the usual laminate lifting on the spine, and each of the corners suffer from a little rubbing, more noticeable on the corner at the top of the spine. There are also some small nicks along the top openers. There is also the hint of a litle ringwear when the front and reverse side of the outer sleeve are viewed at the right angle. All of these blemishes are minor and I have tried to show them in my photos.

The quality of the audio is excellent. There is some occasional, light sound of background crackle but it's very low level and does not significantly detract from the overall excellent sound quality. A great listen througout.

Each label is excellent. There are some very light spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole but you have to look closely to detect them and, again, nothing to detract from the overall excellent condition of each label.

The track listing is :

The original four photos and lyric/photo inserts remains in excellent+ condition - no unwanted writing, no pin holes, and no blue tac residue!

Similarly for the original black, die-cut inner sleeves : no splits, barely any creasing and 100% functional. Excellent.

A 48 year old classic, with the Beatles arguably at their most creative; overall excellent condition and a joy to both behold and listen to, each track being a timeless classic!

If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 45 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960's and 70's origin. I worked in IT for 22 years before doing a complete career change to teach Maths in a high school at the ripe old age of 45 - probably the best career move that I ever made. I took great joy in indulging the "kids" in my eclectic collection of 60's and 70's vinyl, even once dedicating a whole PSE session to the Genesis classic ""Foxtrot".  But now I am retired and a combination of space requirements and a need to help fund my retirement has prompted me to "rationalise" my record collection and sell many of my much loved gems.

My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller, and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy.

On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl cardboard mailer along with at least two cardboard stiffeners. I take care in removing the record from the outer sleeve and properly protecting it in a separate white inner sleeve in order to prevent outer sleeve damage in transit, and for items that sell for over £40 to non-UK bidders I insist upon postal insurance so please wait for an invoice before paying. I do NOT profiteer from postage costs. I DO take great care in minimising all risk thereby ensuring, as far as possible, that your purchase reaches it's destination in exactly the same condition as when I post it. Richard
