Description
The BEATLES official EMI England release of their Second LP album, WITH THE BEATLES. As always, produced by George Martin. Fantastic!! Perhaps the worlds most famous COVER on a record album! This Vinyl 33 is Goldmine EX. My highest grade, shiny, clean, really great, lightly played, some scuffs and marks, very nice for 55 years old, and labels EX also, clean, no writing. It also has one of the most iconic labels for any album in the world!! My father brought this back from England to Michigan for me in April 1964!! I had just gotten hooked on The Beatles in February. It was my Number 4 album ever, see number in upper left corner of the cover!! I was 12 and I treasured it. Eventually after annual trips there he brought me all the Beatles albums!! This vinyl looks great, it’s shiny, with only light scuffs, clean labels. Listen to each side, songs in the UK order, all 14, they still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the boys as they jump into your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! None of the 14 songs were on singles in England or North America when this was released (Nov. 22, 1963, yes...the same date JFK died!!). Eventually, every song on the album was released as a single somewhere worldwide. (I own them !!). This is a beautiful record but not perfect!! The cover sleeve grad is VG+, with a few too many creases and finger stains and tape on the back and edges to be EX, and there’s tape about the opening, too. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible because the backsides were not laminated like the front and edges!! These 1960s original Beatles Parlophone albums are so hard to price. There were many pressing of each, due to super high sales, and determining which pressing you have is tedious. See photo #8, From “45cat”, my favorite worldwide discography site. It explains the typo error on the early pressings with “gotta” instead of “got a” in the song title YOU REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME. This album for sale has the error on the cover, but the error on the Side 2 label is corrected to “got a”, so I believe it is a Second Press!! Trying to price it is guesswork. But I guess the market will tell me what these are worth! All the other early Beatles Parlophone albums I will sell are in much better shape than this one!! Yet this one is quite nice! You decide!! See images, actual sale item. Seller is 50+ year collector and keeper of all things Beatles related. Shipped with USPS Media Mail and Global Shipping Program. All purchases ship together for $5 total. So browse for others. Best to all! Beatle Lew.
