A ONE OF A KIND RARITY! This Decca 45 single, available to U.S. radio stations only, was the first Beatles record ever released in the US, credited to Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers (Decca 31382). Since the song was a flop, almost all of the promotional copies were destroyed.
An extremely rare 45 single, “My Bonnie” on one side and “The Saints” on the other. They used “Beat Brothers” as "Beatles" but it was considered too difficult to interpret by the Germans, so Polydor (the European label) changed it. The record jacket is signed by Tony Sheridan (the first musician allowed to play electric guitar on British Television) and by and Pete Best (former Beatle drummer), with big, flourishing lettering in black felt tip. Condition of the record is overall EX, with some minor ring wear and some light pencil notations. Certificate of Authenticity and pedigree included.
This scarce piece will make a great investment and super addition to any Beatles collection so don't let this one pass you by. It is also being made available to off-line customers so this auction may close early if there are no bidders.... don’t wait till the last day to bid if you are interested.
