Description
The very first edition cassette release of "Beatles For Sale" in October 1970, in lovely condition. All components. Played throughout and in perfect sound both sides, all suggesting this item has been played few times.
Clean, crisp inlay with no stains. Lime green paper labels with the EMI/ Parlophone logo missing, as do a number of other first editions. Lack of sufficient, expensive letterpress blocks were the reason. Intact original Norelco case. The inlay does have the previous owners "64" indexed number on it. However in every other respect the inlay is excellent.
The first edition can be identified by the elementary newspaper-like print design with the album cover extending to the very bottom of the front of the inlay, the catalogue number to the top left of the front, the circular 1&7/8ths i.p.s. denotation at the top of the spine, and the advertising of other Beatles albums musicassettes on the side flap of the inlay. The lime green paper labels have the "This stereo musicassette gives genuine monaural reproduction" denotation to the bottom left on both sides. A rare item - and in this lovely condition too.
Played throughout both sides and perfect.
