Description
THE BEATLES - BEATLES FOR SALE. This is a Japanese edition on DARK RED/CHERRY RED VINYL issued in 1970 by APPLE RECORDS, catalogue number AP8442 in PERFECT CONDITION.
The condition of the original 50 YEAR OLD fully laminated cover and the OBI just beggars belief - it looks like it was brought from the shop only yesterday, apart from a tiny bump on lower right corner - there`re no imperfections on it whatsoever, no creases on laminate, no dirt, no stickers/sticker residue, no yellowish/brownish spots typically present on MOST Japanese covers of 1960-70`s - these were caused by mould-like bacteria which produced musty smell (smelling somewhat damp, old and erm.. mouldy) and nope - it`s not present here, possibly because it was in my temperature, humidity and sunlight controlled archive for the last 30 years. Both the OBI and the lyrics insert are in the same fantastic condition, there are no creases, tears or age-related and/or bacteria related spots, stunningly white original OBI (not a so-called "replica" obi which became increasingly popular recently) still has a 2000 Yen re-order tab firmly attached, inside the gatefold there`s some black ink imprint from the opposite side.
Apple labels were checked under 100 watt lamp and they look just magnificent, there are just 2 very faint spindle lines on Side1 and none on Side2. The labels look now as new as they looked when the record was issued.
The lp was playgraded on my high-end system including MICHEL GYRODEC with SUMIKO BLUE POINT SPECIAL CARTRIDGE and I`m pleased to say that both sides are playgraded as STONE COLD MINT: in fact the record plays with astonishing near CD-like quietness.
UK delivery is £5.00. Postal prices for registered international delivery are as follows: £14.00 EUROPE and £18.00 REST OF THE WORLD.
