Here's a great UK mono first pressing vinyl copy of Beatles For Sale from 1964, barely played and in treasured keeper condition, with one of the best gatefold sleeves I have seen for this record.
The vulnerable single card front flap still boasts lovely sharp edges whilst the flipback inner gatefold is as good as it gets. The pinched end spine is usually first to succumb to wear and tear on these fragile sleeves but this example remains unworn and untorn (see photos). There's no unwanted writing, rips or sticker damage and just a little corner 'dinging' and unbroken laminate lift. Rarely does such a well preserved copy turn up these days - this one has to grade at least EX-.
The disc contained within has rarely been played, with only minimal spindle marks showing. Both black and yellow Parlophone labels are near perfect, with no rips or writing. The disc lies perfectly flat on the turntable, with no warping whatsoever, and plays beautifully, all the way through, both sides. It also looks lovely to the naked eye - just the lightest of surface marks are discernible when viewed under harsh halogen lighting, and absolutely no feelable scratches. It's a lovely early copy with 4N/3N matrices and mother stampers of 1 - RTR and 2 over 8 - AGH, and grades a comfortable and very presentable EX.
Good luck if you are bidding - I carefully pack vinyl using professional packaging and post with the disc removed from the sleeve to prevent knifing during transit.
