THE GATEFOLD SLEEVE:    VERY GOOD

 HAS NO MAJOR DAMAGE. MANY MINOR CREASES, A FEW LAMINATE (THUMB) CREASES. SOME AGEING ON SLEEVE, SOME RING WEAR, SOME CORNER WEAR AND CURLS, SOME EDGE WEAR, SOME SPINE WEAR (BOTTOM OF GATEFOLD HAS A 1.5cm TEAR). SPINE COMPLETELY READABLE. THE FLIPBACKS ARE GREAT, COMPLETE AND SECURE. NO SELLOTAPE, NO WRITING. (SEE DETAILED PHOTOS)

THE VINYL:   VERY GOOD

HAS HAIRLINES, A FEW MINOR SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES, AND A NOTICEABLE DEEPER SCRATCH ON SIDE 2 WHICH SPANS THE FIRST THREE TRACKS WHICH DOES SOUND (CLICKS) IN PLACES BUT IT PLAYS WELL THROUGHOUT WITH NO STICKS OR JUMPS, IT DOES HOWEVER HAVE OCCASSIONAL SOFT CLICKS AND SOFT CRACKLES THROUGHOUT, ONLY REALLY NOTICEABLE IN QUIETER SECTIONS. NO WRITING ON THE LABELS. HAS SPINDLE MARKS BUT VERY LITTLE SPINDLE WEAR OR LABEL SCRATCHES.  (SEE DETAILED PHOTOS)

THE INNER SLEEVE:   EXCELLENT

Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve is very clean. Minor creasing. No marks. No splits, no tears. No sellotape. No major stains or writing.

Grading System:  I have used Record Collector magazine set of standards for the condition of second-hand records. I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

I grade all records in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide (see above). However, if you feel I have graded your record incorrectly please email me ASAP so we can resolve the problem amicably.

RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System

MINT:   The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.  (NOTE: As far as I am concerned, MINT will never apply to second hand vinyl records).

EXCELLENT:   The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:   The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:   The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR:   The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:   The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:   The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

Post & Packaging - I recycle all packaging so you will get your goods in recycled packaging / cardboard container. All items over £20 are insured and sent 'Signed For' or ‘Tracked 48’ and I always obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' for cheaper items. All items are securely and properly packaged and vinyl is sent using double corrugated cardboard stiffeners.
