Description
THE BEATLES Vs. FRANK IFIELD
When this exploitative Lp came out in March of 1964, Beatlemania was running about as hot as you’d ever imagine. They guys had just conquered the Ed Sullivan show, and were preparing to come back again in the fall for their first full tour of the USA and Canada.
Unlike the Beatles vs. the Four Seasons double Lp, this one actually interweaves tracks from the two artists, although comes up a little short in Beatles songs, 4 – to – 8.
This album came out with two different covers, and this is the first of them with the oddball illustration of the ‘jolly what’ mustache guy. The second issue has a painting of the Beatles in their grey colarless suits as art. This is the color rainbow label variation of the label. It is a Monarch pressing / guaranteed original with the purple-ish cover.
