1965 ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING w/NO KEN THORNE CREDIT on SIDE 2
MAS-2386 ~ CAPITOL RECORDS ~ MONO
A much sought after pressing in absolutely immaculate condition, a true rarity in every way!! For those who may be unaware, this LP was given 3 labels sets in a quest to get it accurately correct in terms of the credits. First Label Variation, which is on this set - Mono - Black label with colorband; label does not mention Ken Thorne as composer of "In The Tyrol" "The Bitter End" (with an empty line after The Bitter End) & "The Chase". The Second variation, Mono - Black label with colorband; label credits Ken Thorne as composer of "In The Tyrol" "The Bitter End" & "The Chase" and DOES NOT add "You Can't Do That" to the side 2 contents under "The Bitter End". This variation also has the title & information for the opening song Help! printed above the spindle hole. This variation was only known to exist only on the stereo version. And the Third, which is the most common, Black label with colorband; label credits Ken Thorne as composer of "In The Tyrol" "The Bitter End" & "The Chase" and adds "You Can't Do That" to the side 2 contents under "The Bitter End"

VINYL is VISUALLY GRADED as NEAR MINT and PLAY GRADED NEAR MINT No scratches, No hard or soft scuffs, No damage or imperfections and a nice rainbow sheen. No skips, jumps of pops or crackle....I heard a couple of extremely light tics which I cannot find any scuffs to associate with so I am thinking a good record cleaning system may get a dust compression out of the groove and eliminate it.
LABELS are GRADED as NEAR MINT Light barely seen spindle marks, No writing but the Side 2 label has residual glue from a dopey record collector who insisted on placing price tags on one label in all his records at the convention I bought this at many years ago to protect himself from folks switching out records to other covers....it can be removed but I leave it to the next owner, it's barely a distraction at all.
JACKET is VISUALLY GRADED as EXCELLENT PLUS No seam splits, No ring wear, No moisture damage or other damage of any kind. Title seam is yellowed and fully legible.
INNER SLEEVE is GRADED as VERY GOOD with a small split and some general aging and a bit of roughing along the top it is otherwise clean and green.
