The BEATLES official USA Capitol reissue release of their SEVENTH Original US Capitol 1965 STEREO LP album HELP ! from August 1965 with only 7 original Beatles songs, taken from their UK album HELP! That LP had 14 songs!! (Yet Another US Beatles hodge-podge or “butchered” album not consistent with Beatles albums in UK.) However, this one is considered a nice mix of 7 Beatles original hits and movie instrumentals, conducted by Ken Thorne, similar the US “A Hard Days Night” from a year prior!! NOTE: This Stereo copy still uses Issue number SMAS2386, and Mono was MAS2386! This LP was deleted from the US Beatles catalog in 1988 like the other 9 US original Capitol albums!! So it pre-dates that year!! But is it Purple from 1978?? or Rainbow from 1983??? Or Orange from 1976?? See photo 3! Most likely Orange!! This one is produced by George Martin. Fantastic, As always!! The 33rpm vinyl is always the best way to collect Beatles albums. Another of the worlds great iconic covers on a record album! Great Wall Art all these years later!! Still the Beatles with 1965 “long hair”, a beautiful cover! Different poses than the UK cover!! This STILL SEALED LP is graded Goldmine NM, never opened, believed to contain the Orange Capitol labels shown in photo 3. Anyone know for sure?? I spent an hour trying to verify!! I bought this copy SEALED around 1989! It is UNPLAYED. It is UNOPENED!! See photos 1-2. Truly Near Mint. Eventually ALL Beatles UK albums were remastered for 1987 reissue in US and UK!! And of course remastered again in 1995 and 2012, I think. So, most of the “original ten” US Beatles Capitol Albums will probably NEVER EVER be reissued again on vinyl!!! GET A SEALED COPY WHILE YOU CAN!!! Classic hits here are: HELP, YOU’VE GOT TO HIDE YOUR LOVE AWAY, TICKET TO RIDE. Of course every song is a classic, even today, 55 years later. My favorite: I NEED YOU (by George!!). The first George Harrison written song since 1963!! he Beatles aimed at getting this LP to market to go with the expected success of the movie HELP, as well as the TICKET TO RIDE single in the US!! They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is still a beautiful record, quite wonderful sounding!! John was 25, Ringo 25, Paul 22 and George 22 on this album release date.!! The cover/sleeve is SEALED in original shrink wrap since its purchase by me. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these original 10 Beatles US Capitols which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!! Read more on “45cat”, my favorite worldwide discography site. Trying to price it is guesswork. Few are for sale on eBay. Most older ones have a small press number on the back just left of the RIAA Seal, but not the final later issues like this one, so I guess the market will tell me what these are worth! This one is very nice! You decide!! See images 1-2, actual sale item. Seller is 50+ year collector and keeper of all things Beatles related. Shipped with USPS Media Mail and Global Shipping Program. All purchases ship together for $5 total. So browse for others!! Price reduces weekly till sold!! Who else does that??? Best to all! Beatle Lew.
