Description
1970 The Beatles - Hey Jude. Black One Box EMI Parlophone. PCSJ 149 Stereo.
The Beatles 1970 MISSPELT 'Hey Jude' UK export album. An extremely rare album originally pressed in the UK for export only to South Africa. This is the very 1st pressing version with the long deleted ONE EMI BOX PARLOPHONE LABEL design. The labels on this version have a spelling mistake. The track 'Paperback Writer' is incorrectly spelt as 'Paper Back Writer' (there should be no space between 'Paper' and 'Back')!
This album was available and released at the same time as the 'Hey Jude' Apple CPCS 106 which was also pressed for export to the UK. This 'One box EMI logo' design is even rarer as very few were pressed and even fewer turned up in UK record stores to purchase. Furthermore the condition of this album is truly amazing, stunning NEAR MINT condition! Please also note that the official UK release of 'Hey Jude' was not until 1979, nine years after this release and on the much more common 'Two box EMI logo' design.
The rarity of this label design cannot be over emphasised as this album was issued virtually worldwide on the standard Apple label. It is almost impossible to find any EMI Parlophone issues at all as the numbers pressed were so low. Normally issued on the Apple label, these copies only existed to be exported to countries when the Apple logo was not yet (or could not be) registered as a company.
The matrix numbers are the earliest possible for this album: Side 1: YEX 150 - 1 Side 2: YEX 151 - 1.
THIS ALBUM HAS NO MOTHER STAMPERS, VERY RARELY SEEN!!!!
The vinyl labels state ''An EMI Recording' and "PRESSED FOR OR BY A REGISTERED USER". This issue also has a front laminated sleeve. A true Beatles collectable and rarity.
Vinyl Condition: The thick heavyweight vinyl is in NEAR MINT stunning condition. Virtually NO spindle wear at all. This has been amazingly well cared for and looks to of had just ONE OR TWO PLAYS! GENNUINELY STUNNING! The vinyl plays perfect.
Cover Condition: The front laminated sleeve with the EMI PARLOPHONE logo on the front and back is in amazing EXCELLENT+ condition.
Label Condition: Both labels are in NEAR MINT condition. Virtually NO spindle wear at all!!!! One or two plays!
I DOUBT YOU WILL EVER FIND A BETTER QUALITY VINYL, UNLESS IT IS STIL 1970 FACTORY SEALED!
