I have very sadly decided to sell the remainder of my own record collection over the next few weeks. It is varied in its content from 60/70's Folk/Rock, incl rare Zeppelin and Floyd 1st presses, some Beatles and Dylan,including Japanese presses, various now deleted Audiophile pressings and female vocal. Some records I have owned since new, others I have carefully selected and picked up along the way. I have always tried to collect the best and earliest copies.

I will keep descriptions as simple as possible rather than do elaborate advertisements.

Whilst I have owned the records they have only ever been played on either a Michell Orbe or SME Model 20 turntable, both fitted with SME V tonearms and quality cartridges such as the Lyra Delos. My last phono stage was the Reference Whest PS 30RDT SE coupled to Vitus amplification and Sonus Faber Cremona M speakers. Not only has this been a revealing system, giving me an accurate assessment of all records played on it, but it has, I hope, always looked after the vinyl.

I clean all my records on an Okki Nokki RCM before putting them in new Nagaoka anti-static record sleeves and plastic outer sleeves. They have always been very carefully stored in a smoke free enviroment.

I will grade using the Record Collector system, erring on the side of caution as I have sold the SME. I am also selling the phono stage and cartrige. I am happy to discuss details with any buyers.

Outer Sleeve  -  N Mint. This is stunning and the best I have seen. There is no discolouration-even to the back. There are no marks at all of any kind. The spine is as new. There is absolutely no delamination. The only thing that stops me from describing as Mint are a couple of very very light creases (half inch long) on the bottom right edge and perhaps the very lightest impression of a record beginning in the same corner, that's all. This is astonishing for its age and surely one of the very best there is left.

Inner Sleeve - Superb, just a little age discolouration.

Labels -  N Mint. There are possibly 5 or 6 spindle traces to each side.

Vinyl visualy - N Mint. Only because there is one faint surface line at the beginning of side 1, which cannot be heard have I not graded Mint. Even in the very brightest light there really is nothing to be seen. Not even the faint lines records acquire from sleeve removal. This is absolutely superb.

Vinyl play -  N Mint. I have just played this through and the sound is quite simply stunning. If you bought this today and played it you would have no complaints. There are no clicks, pops or distortion of any kind. It is so quiet, there is barely any vinyl surface noise at all which is incredible for a record that is 48 years old.

I think you will be very hard pressed to find a better copy
