Description
The Beatles - I Saw Her Standing There / Twist & Shout (10" 78 RPM Single)
Vinyl condition (both sides): G+
Vinyl is glossy and visually looks in VG condition with light storage scuffs, but plays back with competing amounts of crackle, occasionally drifting towards G condition during playback. The runout grooves on each side have mild sleeve stains. The runout groove on side A has a tiny (1mm) defect that does not affect anything.
Label: Prime Records (PRM-78-13 & PRM-78-14)

This 10" single was part of a box set intended for 10" compatible jukeboxes. It was manufactured at a time when the 50's revival scene in the US was at its peak in the early 1980s. The box set originally contained twenty-five "retro" 78 RPM 10" vinyl singles of oldies hits, housed in a cardboard box. The specific release year of this box set is unknown but may have been released sometime around 1983 (given the '83' etched into the runout grooves on each side of each release).
Prime Records would go on to produce at least four other box sets of 10" singles, as well as individual 7" singles. Their products were likely marketed to businesses that owned and operated jukeboxes, as no LP releases nor original recording artists are known to exist on this label.
I found this title (and the other Prime Records singles I'm selling here on eBay) in the summer of 2021 in a warehouse near the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The contents of the warehouse belonged to an antiques dealer. The box that was originally issued with the set was not found in the warehouse and thus is not for sale.
