Description
You are bidding on a true Beatles/Solo collector's item:
JOHN LENNON
TWO VIRGINS
RARE FIRST PRESSING
Complete with brown outer wrapping and original inner sleeve!
This is John's first solo LP - TWO VIRGINS UNFINISHED MUSIC NO.1 - recorded and released while he was a Beatle! Most know the infamous history of this LP - relatively few of these LPs were sold because of the difficulty John had in releasing it. The full frontal nudity on the front cover was deemed so offensive that the cover came inside a brown paper cover - included in this auction. Most of these covers were thrown away!
Record: MINT MINUS - appears unplayed!
Labels: MINT MINUS - no spindlewear; side two label has two pressing marks
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS (the front and back covers retain their off-whiteness; very little evidence of ringwear; a little bumping of lower corners; about 1/2 in. scuff along bottom edge) - excellent shape for over 40 years old!
Brown Outer Cover: VERY GOOD MINUS - (1/4 of top has come apart; there is a small label in the upper left corner; the front has what appears to be a store stamp; some scuffing; very small tear upper part of back cover; back cover sealing label is missing)
