Description
Original 7" single in record company sleeve, issued in the UK in 1962 by Parlophone Records
Catalogue number 45-R 4949.
MATRIX No. SIDE 1 7XCE 17144 - 1N SIDE 2 7XCE 17145 - 1N
Vinyl graded G/VG.
Tested on a good Technics deck.
Some visible marks and surface scratches but the record plays from start to finish with no jumps.
Plays very nicely without any distortion - slight occasional crackle evident when listening on headphones, hence why I have graded as G/VG rather than VG.
Small area of writing in pen on A-side and B-side and a small scribble.

I gather that this is a first pressing:
"The Parlophone Co. Ltd. (small letter)" was printed at the perimeter.
Without the words "MADE IN GT. BRITAIN" under the trade mark.
Sleeve has some ringwear and the odd crease.

EXCELLENT: THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SOME SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD: THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY. DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD: THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION ETC.
FAIR: THE RECORD IS JUST PLAYABLE, BUT HAS NOT BEEN CARED FOR PROPERLY AND DISPLAYS CONSIDERABLE NOISE, IT MAY EVEN JUMP. THE COVER AND CONTENTS WILL BE TORN, STAINED ETC.
POOR: THE RECORD WILL NOT PLAY PROPERLY DUE TO SCRATCHES, BAD SURFACE NOISE ETC. THE COVER WILL BE DAMAGED.
