BEATLES LP 1963 WITH THE BEATLES y/b MONO PMC 1206 EX condition.

On offer is The BEATLES LP entitled WITH THE BEATLES released in the UK in mono on yellow-black PARLOPHONE PMC 1206 in 1963.

This  LP is in lovely EXCELLENT condition.

This is the 2nd press yellow/black MONO identified by the following criteria: 

• The disc has the Dominion /Belinda credit for ‘Money’.
• THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD.  text is around the rim
• The disc is without ‘Sold in UK’… text. 
• The label has RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963.
• On the front cover there is a large – mono – IN BOLD LETTERING.
• The flip-back sleeve is manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse.
• The disc has the original / correct ‘Use Emitex’ inner.
• The matrix numbers of the disc are:  XEX 447–3N and XEX 448–3N respectively.      

The LP has been very well looked after and has been kept by me in a plastic sleeve for over 30 years which has ensured it has kept its fresh look.

The description of this LP is as follows –

v  The disc is visually in superb EX+condition – with a lovely sheen and clear, clean vinyl.

·        The disc sounds superb throughout. I have just test played the disc for the first time in many years and both sides play excellently with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi. It really is a great fresh sounding LP.

v  The labels are also in nice EX condition. There is some minor spindle wear.

v  The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd  - earliest 'Patents Pending' laminated flipback picture sleeve front cover - is in a nice clean EX- condition: with some creasing to the front cover near Ringo – in the bottom left hand corner…  and a very small tear in the middle of the right hand edge – but this is minor only. 

v  The white (non-laminated) backcover is very clean and has some minor evidence of foxing / browning but this is not extensive or unsightly: as you can see from the scans.

v  The spine is in great condition.The LP title on the spine – With The Beatles – is clearly readable and all edges and corners of the spine and the cover are intact.

v  The ‘Use Emitex’ inner is the correct one for this 1963 LP. This inner no longer houses the disc which is now kept in a new plain white inner to protect the disc and the original inner.Both inners will – of course - be supplied to the winner.

Overall this is an EXCELLENT  and highly collectable example of the Beatles 2nd Press MONO LP – With the Beatles on Parlophone… comprising an EX+ condition disc (which plays superbly) and an EX-  condition LP sleeve…that has been well looked after over the years as part of my personal collection.
