Description
BEATLES LP HELP! 1965 MONO Y/B PARL PMC 1255 NICE EX COND
On offer is a very nice EX condition BEATLES LP – HELP! released in the UK in MONO on the yellow-black PARLOPHONE label PARLOPHONE PMC 1255 in 1965.
This particular pressing is the FIRST PRESS Yellow / Black MONO - with the ‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.’ and ‘SOLD IN UK …’ label text, with the outline ‘mono’ on the front cover. The LP comes with its original ‘USE EMITEX’ polythene –lined inner sleeve.
This is a lovely EX condition MONO original first press HELP! Beatles LP as follows:
v The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. laminated flip-back picture sleeve is in lovely EX condition. The non-laminated back cover is also in nice condition with some yellowing to the white cardboard in the top right hand corner (see scan).
v The disc is in lovely EX/EX- condition with very clean and clear vinyl with a nice sheen to it. There are a few hairline minor surface marks: which do not affect play at all. .
v I have test played the LP for this auction (for the first time in many years!) and both sides of the disc play excellently throughout with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi.
v The Matrix numbers are: Side 1: XEX 543-2. Side 2: XEX 550 -2.
v The disc has nice clear, clean labels on both sides of the LP. The label has ‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.’ & ‘SOLD IN UK…’ text and has the K.T. tax code.
v The LP has been kept stored in a plastic sleeve for the many years I have owned it. It has been really well looked after over all these years.
v The LP comes with its original ‘USE EMITEX’ Parlophone inner – which is intact – with no seam splits - and is in VG condition. Ever since I purchased this LP many years ago I have kept the disc separately housed in a white inner (also supplied) to protect the disc and the original EMITEX inner.
Overall this is an EXCELLENT Beatles HELP! LP from my personal collection – that would make a nice addition to a Beatles collection.
Tracks are: Side 1: Help /The Night Before /You've Got To Hide Your Love Away / I Need You / Another Girl / You're Going To Lose That Girl / Ticket To Ride / - Side 2: Act Naturally / It's Only Love / You Like Me Too Much / Tell Me What You See / I've Just Seen A Face / Yesterday / Dizzy Miss Lizzy.
