BEATLES "Introducing The Beatles" ULTRA SCARCE AD BACK LP- ONE OF THE RAREST COVERS OF ANY BEATLES ALBUM SOUGHT BY COLLECTORS issued January 10th, 1964!!   ********************

The AD BACK COVER features the 26 VEE JAY ALBUM COVERS by other 'popular artists' of 1964!  For those of you who are not familiar, this was a means used by Vee Jay executives to hide the song titles on the LP which the company was to have stopped selling due to a suit that was filed against them by CAPITOL Records!  This scheme was quickly discovered to their dismay and thus production of this LP ceased ALMOST IMMEDIATELY making it one of the HOLY GRAIL ITEMS OF BEATLES RECORD COLLECTING that it is today!!

Let's start with the OUTER JACKET!  These jackets originally were not constructed very well nor was the printing and color process printing done in such a way as to prevent wear.  They wore terribly even with care.  Splitting was very common, and this example, while having some top and bottom edge wear HAS NONE!

The spine edge is the BEST of the three sides, with a slight bottom corner abrasion and an 1/8" wear spot between 'BEATLES' and 'VEE JAY' with the LETTERING FULLY LEGIBLE, just the 'T' and 'R' in 'INTRODUCING' are worn!

The print on the AD BACK side is very strong in correlation with the VG grading with just a minor amount of storage abrasion with all covers and titles COMPLETELY LEGIBLE and NO OTHER MARKINGS OR WRITING!  SMOOTH from top to bottom!!

The words 'PRINTED IN U.S.A.' appear on the front lower left side of cover, with George's shadow clearly visable as tell-tale signs of authentic first pressings!!  Light corner wear, with the only significant wear being on the lower right hand corner, but this has not caused any edge separation!  There is a slight streak of wear through George in his upper arm region, and shelf wear at the bottom middle of the front cover in Paul's arm region, and a few light white flecks of the cardstock but remarkably NO WEAR RING!!

NOW TO THE VINYL- The record is a TRUE VERSION ONE Vee Jay rainbow label which is indeed quite a GEM, a TRUE AND SOLID NEAR MINT MINUS COPY, with just a COUPLE of the most minor hairlines and NO SPINDLE WEAR!!   This is one of three versions of the Mono record without the 'long playing' and 'microgroove' copy!  Importantly, 'INTRODUCING THE BEATLES' and 'BEATLES' copy appear above the spindle hole!  IN ALL, A STRONG COLLECTOR'S GRADE INVESTMENT QUALITY FIND!!
