PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
INCREDIBLY RARE original Jacksonville gatefold first pressing in glorious mono from November 27, 1967 on Capitol's rainbow/colorband label with 24-page booklet on the inside gatefold, F3 / G8 #2 matrix suffixes etched in the dead wax, respectively, on sides one and two, MFD. BY CAPITOL... and Capitol logo in the lower label rim text and MAL X-1-2835 / MAL X-2-2835 matrices to the right of the center hole on the labels!!! LP side 1 is a beautiful VG++ and side 2 is a gorgeous near mint minus. Cover is still in the original shrink wrap and beautiful with a tiny fray spot in the bottom left hand corner where there is a small opening in the cellophane and a hint of ring. Even has the original $1.97(!) Polk Brothers (R.I.P.) price sticker on the cellophane in the top right hand corner on the front cover. A high grade X matrix mono first pressing of this rarity with impeccable provenance. THIS is what collecting is about Fab collectors.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
