Description
This is a 1986 CAPITOL RECORDS U.S. RAINBOW LABEL SPECIALTY PRESSING of the 1964 LP titled 'Meet The Beatles' from The Beatles. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number ST-2047. Record comes packaged inside the gatefold cover in its original thin clear plastic inner sleeve. The 'SRC' pressing plant designation in the runout area on both sides of the record designates a Specialty pressing.
1986-7 Specialty Records pressing with 80s rainbow label. Has the SRC logo stamp in run-outs and retains MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp (which is very faint). Labels have a smooth notch approx 3/4" from edge.
These would be the last pressings before Capitol re-issued their American releases with new catalog #s using the C1 prefixes in 1988.
Capitol began using Specialty Records Corp in 1986 (and was changed to WEA Manufacturing in 1996)

-These pressings do NOT have a factory designation # on the lower right back corner

Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Condition of cover is a high VG (Some might grade this VG+) with a number of minor flaws adding up to a VG grade - Cover has a number of wrinkles and a light stain at the upper left corner of the back cover, some other small stains, and some ring and contact wear. Thin clear plastic inner sleeve has some creases and wrinkles, no splits or tears.
This sought after 1986 rainbow label pressing would make a choice addition to any Beatles record collection!
