Offered here is the classic Beatles lp that started BEATLEMANIA in the United States Meet The Beatles Capitol T 2047 released in January of 1964, this variation is the 1966 or early 1967 Jacksonville Illinois 4th pressing with 10 BMI 2 ASCAP. What so SCARCE about this lp is that the Jacksonville plant did not press many copies of this in MONO like the East or West coast did until MONO fazed out by 1968. The lp is in a VERY GOOD++ condition almost NM- for the exception of a few minor hairline scratches with a nice sheen to it with NM labels. The cover is a cut out with a drill hole when MONO was fazing out most of MONO Beatles albums on Capitol use to set in bargain bends. The cover grades at best VG with the name BEATLES in light brown, some toning and mellowing due to age, some cracking on the spine, seam split starting at the mouth at the top with some of the paper fraded away, this is the rare #9 mono cover for this lp and comes with it’s original brown Capitol inner sleeve. A circle or oval on the trail off area and the #9 on the back cover indicates it was pressed at the Jacksonville Illinois plant. So if you are looking for this particular pressing or just becoming aware for the first time of this scarce Meet The Beatles that doesn’t show very often, it’s here!
