BEATLES No 1 EP 1963 1st press MONO PARLOPHONE GEP 8883 EX/EX in nice condition.
On offer is a lovely EX/EX condition 1st press BEATLES 45rpm EP entitled THE BEATLES No 1 as released in MONO on PARLOPHONE GEP 8883 in 1963.
The vinyl is in very nice EX condition with a lovely sheen. The disc is a first pressing as it correctly has: Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd…” printed at the start perimeter print and the publishing year printed as “Recording First Published 1963?.
The picture sleeve cover is in nice EX- condition: with no seam splits or writing.
This is the original first pressing EP sleeve: made by Garrod & Lofthouse with front laminated rounded upper and lower rear flaps and “Garrod” at the centre bottom of the back cover. See scans.
Tracks are: I saw her standing there / Misery / Anna / Chains.
The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them.
The record sounded great when I test played it on my BOSE record player.
Disc matrix numbers are: 7TCE-764-1N and 7TCE–765-1N

EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
THE USE OF PLUS (+) OR MINUS (-) ALLOWS FOR ITEMS THAT FALL BETWEEN THE ABOVE GRADES.
