Description
The BEATLES Sixth release of former Parlophone 1966 Issue release , on FAME labels, of their STEREO LP album BEATLES - A COLLECTION OF OLDIES ((but Goldies), first released on FAME (EMI discount label) with 16 tracks, in Fall 1983! This album was NEVER released in the US!! Instead Capitol issued 2 double LP Sets called the RED and BLUE ALBUMS, 1962-1966, and 1967-1970. Because this album is STILL SEALED, who knows for sure but I believe all issues of this LP are FAME labeled as seen in photos 4-5! This copy uses unique Issue number FA4130811. This LP was previously issued on Parlophone until 1983, at least 5 prior times. Finally deleted from the UK Beatles catalog in 1987 (like the original 10 US Capitol albums). It was replaced in 1982 with UK LP BEATLES 20 GREATEST HITS. This Original OLDIES album will most likely NEVER be reissued again!!! It should have the FAME label style seen in photos 4-5. This LP was produced by George Martin. Fantastic, As always!! The 33rpm vinyl is always the best way to collect Beatles albums. It is again another iconic LP cover! Great Wall Art all these years later!! This STILL SEALED LP is graded Goldmine NM, never opened, believed to contain the mentioned FAME labels shown in photo 4-5. I bought this copy SEALED around 1990, It is UNPLAYED!! It is UNOPENED!! See photos 1-2 for actual sale item!! Truly Near Mint. Eventually ALL Beatles UK albums were remastered for 1987 reissue in US and UK!! And of course remastered again in 1995 and 2012, I think. So, most of the “original ten” US Beatles Capitol Albums, and this one also, and a few others, will probably NEVER EVER be reissued again on vinyl!!! GET SEALED COPIES WHILE YOU CAN!!! Of course every song is a classic, even today, 55 years later. Multiple songs that are fantastic years later! They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is still a beautiful record, quite wonderful sounding!! Lots of hits!! The cover/sleeve is SEALED in original shrink wrap since its purchase by me!!! I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these original reissues which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!! Read more on “45cat”, my favorite worldwide discography site. Trying to price it is guesswork. A few are for sale on eBay. I guess the market will tell me what these are worth! This one is very nice! You decide!! See images 1-2, actual sale item. NOTE: plastic sealer wrap is loose, not skin-tight, but record is fully sealed since manufacture, also notice the JEM sticker on the backside of the album indicating it’s sale was distributed out of the USA!! Seller is 50+ year collector and keeper of all things Beatles related, working on year 3 of my 10 year plan to sell my collection!!! Shipped with USPS Media Mail and Global Shipping Program. All purchases ship together for $5 total. So browse for others!! Price reduces weekly till sold!! Who else does that??? Best to all! Beatle Lew.
