Description

Own a piece of music history with this frame-worthy copy of the infamous Beatles Butcher Cover!

The original cover for the Beatles’ 1966 Yesterday and Today album, the highly controversial Butcher Cover was immediately recalled by the label. Capitol initially ordered the covers destroyed (and some were), but then they came up with the clever idea of pasting a new, much more conservative cover image on top, concealing the Butcher photograph. Once this was leaked to the public, people peeled off the pasted-over cover to reveal the Butcher cover beneath.

The cover of this particular copy is in very good condition for a 3rd state (see photos). The vinyl itself is in rough shape, but it's included. From LA Plant (#6). Rare stereo copy.
