Description
The Beatles---"Please Please Me"---Lovely Rare Copy Of This Mono Gold/Black 1st Pressed Album On The Parlophone Label With Dick James Credits---1N/1N From 1963
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
Here we have a UK 1st pressed album in mono from 1963 on the gold/black Parlophone label with a cat. no. PMC 1202 and matrices 1N & 1N. Stampers are L1 & O1.
Vinyl: VG+ to EX. The vinyl is in great condition with light rubbing but only 2 light hairlines. It still has a nice shine and plays with great sound. It has no clicks or jumps amd plays through with lovely quality. Side 1 would rate as EX and has just a little surface noise which can hardly be heard during the music and is only light between the tracks. Side 2 has a little more surface and would rate as VG+. The sound quality is very full and bassy and is very easy to listen to.
Labels: EX. Black and gold labels are in lovely clean condition with no marks. Shows virtually no spindle marking.
Sleeve: VG+. The E.J Day sleeve is in nice solid condition with some edge and corner wear. It has no splits and the front has a nice quality lamination with very few light creases. Front has the Angus McBean credit on the very far bottom right. Flipbacks anre in nice solid condition with a little raising on the top left. There is a label about 3" x 1" covering a name. This must have been in place for some time. The white of the sleeve back is slightly discoloured with age. Comes with original Emitex inner in nice condition.
