Early stampers

This is the 1st pressing on the yellow & black label i.e. the 1st after the two Gold & Black label issues - making it the 3rd pressing in total.

It has no "Sold in the UK' text nor 'Recording 1st published' text. Has 'the Parlophone label...' text running around the label perimeter. See scan.

Cover: This is the triple flip back Garrod & Lofthouse cover with the rear triple flipbacks and large 'mono' text on the front cover. Excellent condition. Only light laminate creasing. Has the number '70' written in small text twice on the rear cover.

Emitex inner poly-lined sleeve: Near Excellent.

Labels: Near Excellent. XEX421/2-1N. No writings/doodles/stickers. Some spindle hole wear - see scan.

Vinyl: Play tested. Heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. Looks and plays Very Good. Some crackle at the beginning and between tracks. Very little that is noticeable during most tracks. Has a feelable scratch on track 6 (side 1) which causes some clicks. These Parlophone 1st pressings are incredibly resillient as it is a testimony to the quality of the vinyl used. Also, these mono recordings were recorded at very high levels which helps suppress background noise during play.

Returns. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, do please contact me to discuss as soon as possible. If the item has to be returned, in addition to refunding your payment I will also refund your initial postage costs when buying the item. However, I'm afraid I cannot reimburse you for the postage cost for returning the item.

Gradings.......

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
