BEATLES PROMO-ONLY Sampler LP from Anthology 2

Capital Records issued this rare 7-cut vinyl sampler from Anthology 2 in 1996. Excellent condition. The great cover design is unique to this commercially unavailable collection. This artifact was never sold in stores-only a very small number of these were made. On this release, Capital used the Apple motif on the label. There is no print on the front cover-just a photo of the band in the studio set against a tasteful grey marbled border. The spine print reads "The Beatles Anthology 2 SPRO-11206/11207.

Songs: Side A - Strawberry Fields Forever (Take 1); I'm Down; I'm Only Sleeping (Rehearsal)/I'm Only Sleeping (Take 1) (mono). Side B - Eleanor Rigby (Strings Only); Only A Northern Song; Tomorrow Never Knows; Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise).

CONDITION: This precious artifact has been treated with great care. Cover has no marks, stains, tears, creases, writing, seam splits or cut-out marks. ***NO RING WEAR*** No corner banging. No speckling. Rich, unfaded color with sharp print. Unblemished spine print is fully readable. Apple motif label & spindle hole are in excellent condition.

DISC: Sparkling record! No scratches or scuffs. No surface flecks. Platter gives off a nice reflection. No sign of warping. The attentive listener is unlikely to experience anything but the faintest unbothersome background surface noise. (Matrix # SPRO-11206/7). I grade both the cover & disc as E+ ("Excellent-Plus").

N- = Record shows no scratches, scuffs, or wear. Plays like new.

E+ = Excellent +, Record shows very light wear, should play like new.

E = Excellent, Record shows light scratches/scuffs which should NOT be audible when played.

E- = Excellent -, Record shows light scratches and scuffs that MAY be audible.

V+ = Very Good +, Record shows moderate scratches and scuffs or wear that WILL be audible.

V = Very Good, Record shows moderate/heavy scratches and scuffs that WILL be audible and MAY skip.

V- =Very Good -, Record shows considerable scratches and wear. Good for a fill-in until a better copy turns up.

P = Poor, What can I say! Record is in poor condition, plays very rough. We will only offer P condition items if they are extremely rare or unusual.
