!!!simply fantastic copy!!!
This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker, New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.
Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

Vinyl: EX+. Gorgeous,Glorious, FAB!!...Still has it's newly pressed sheen. Just a few VERY light marks. FRAME IT OR PLAY IT (carefully) The Beatles in all their original glory. Really REALLY smooth and quiet run-ins as well as inbetween the tracks. TURN HER UP!!! FLAT, HEAVY AND SHINY-ORIGINAL!

Labels: EX+. There is only a very small amount of central hole wear as seen in the pictures, with two light needle nicks. Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips. Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number. VERY DISPLAYABLE
Inner: EX-. Original "Use Emitex" inner. The only reason she doesn't get the highest grading (NEAR MINT) is because of a small split of 6.5cm to the bottom. Otherwise there's absolutley no fading or discolouration, the lightest of light creases and no feathering to the opening-SHE WOULD DISPLAY INCREDIBLY WELL. She is original and has done her job keeping the record in simply fab condition!
Cover: EX. A superbly displayable piece! Glorious front image without fading. Just 1 or two very small crescent spidering points-certainly nothing AT ALL to detract from it's beauty. Corners only have light dings with one having a tiny 7mm split-top right corner...that's it! Made of strong card Wondefully strong Ernest J Day flipbacks in as close to perfect condition you can get without a time machine! A genuine Ernest J.Day & Co cover with the Angus McBean in the lower right corner on the front. Very strong and clear spine. NO WRITING LARGE MONO
I would recommend getting this lovely example for it's simply FANTASTIC condition...Display her or play her-You will not be disappointed.
