The Beatles “Please Please Me" 1st UK Press Mono Vinyl LP

Description:

1st press 'Gold' label Beatles - Please Please Me in its original 'Gold' 1st version sleeve - with all Dick James label credit errors on both sides - proving its status as a very 1st press, also with very low mothers (1st on both sides) and very low stampers (single character on both sides) making this one of the very first discs to come of the press on day one of, March 22nd 1963.

Key Features:

Matrix: Side 1: XEX 421-1N; Side 2: XEX 422-1N.
Labels: The first pressing has a black label with gold print and “Parlophone Co. Ltd” printed at the start perimeter print. “Dick James Mus. Co” incorrect publishing credit for “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Misery”, “Do You Want To Know A Secret” & “There’s A Place”. With or without tax code and with 33 1/3 on the label.
Sleeve: The first pressing ‘Gold’ sleeve is an Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated cover, with large “mono“ on front. The photo credit for the front cover: “Photo Angus McBean” is printed in the lower right corner. The text starts at the end of “s” in “songs”.
Inner: Polythene-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve.
Stampers: A & R (1st Mother both sides, single digit stamper on both sides)
Tax Code: ZMT tax code, side 1
Visual Grade: VERY GOOD!

Glossy and clean disc with whispers of hairline on disc. Hardly noticeable. Not played. No record player
Audio Grade: Not Tested
Sleeve has age related wear and stains.
