On offer here is an ORIGINAL Black & Gold MONO UK 1963 1st Pressing "Please Please Me" by The Beatles, on the 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone labels!!!! It is also a 100% GENIUNE 1963 Black & Gold 1st Pressing with the 'Dick James' credits to BOTH labels!!
IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT LPs ON THE PARLOPHONE LABEL, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! IT HAS ALL THE CORRECT 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS CHARACTERISTICS!!
FIRSTLY THIS LP HAS THE FULL SET OF 1ST PRESS 'DICK JAMES' CREDITS TO BOTH LABELS (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!! SECONDLY THE MATRIXES ARE THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS MATRIXES - BEING XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!! THIRDLY THE 'EMITEX' INNER SLEEVE IS 'POLY LINED' AND HAS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' TEXT IN THE BOTTOM LEFT. LASTLY THE 'ANGUS McBEAN' CREDIT IS SET FAR RIGHT IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER ON THE FRONT COVER.
THIS LP HAS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST 1ST PRESS 1A/1M MOTHER & STAMPER CODINGS - CLEARLY SHOWING THAT IT WAS ONE OF THE EARLIEST OFF THE LINE.

VINYL - Play tested all the way through, there is a superb clear sound quality with some static and minor crackles in quieter moments. There are NO jumps, skips, sticking or loud pops or clicks.
Visually there are quite a few surface marks and scuffs on both sides but don't let that deceive you as the sound is excellent.
SLEEVE - original flip back sleeve with Angus McBean credit 5mm from bottom corner edge. Although corner edges are quite well worn, the sleeve is in pretty good shape with no writing, rips or pieces missing. The spine is in good condition and lacquer still present. Some creasing and a water mark on the reverse.
INNER SLEEVE - original emitex sleeve in very good condition with some creasing.
A low start price with no reserve so a great chance to get this very rare record for a low price.
