Description
This is a 1987 CAPITOL RECORDS U.S. RAINBOW LABEL MONO PRESSING (NOT A LATER REISSUE) OF THE ORIGINAL 1963 U.K. ALBUM titled 'Please Please Me' from The Beatles. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number CLJ-46435. Record comes packaged inside its cover in its original clear rice paper inner sleeve.
1987 release, part of Capitol’s series of issuing their earlier UK album catalog for the first time in the US (outside the Mo-Fi limited editions), matching their CD counterparts (and using the same catalog numbers). Digital masters were used in these pressings.
There are 3 variations to this series. This listing is for variation #1:
-Original run, catalog # of CLJ-46435 (seen on spine, upper left front cover,lower left back cover and labels)
-Capitol Rainbow band label design with the Parlophone logo on the left side of label above the “1” and “2”.
-Capitol oval and EMI rectangle logos along the bottom back
-UPC on the back is square in shape
Pressed at Allied Record Co as identified by what looks like a large Q (but is really a lower case a with a tail) stamp in the run out.
Disc comes in a clear rice-paper sleeve.

Condition of cover is VG with a number of moderate flaws, including some writing on the front cover as can be seen in my accompanying image, some wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no splits, tears, or stickers.
