Description
BEATLES: Please Please Me MONO UK Parlophone Dick James
Original pressing on Parlophone (UK) - 1963
Comments: Rare gold & black label PMC 1202 with Dick James credits on both labels (see scans). Matrix numbers are stamped XEX 421 1N, and XEX 422 1N. Ernest J. Day sleeve with Angus McBean Photo credit. Vinyl has lots of visual wear but plays amazingly well. I've played it through in it's entirety and it does not skip, repeat, or tick loudly for any great length. There is however a noticeable amount of surface noise on side 2 during the first 3 tracks or so. Cover has moderate front wear/creasing, and good seams. Back is less presentable with stains near the pocket opening & splits & tape along the flip back portion (see picture). Labels have spindle wear and the side two label has some spattering marks. Clearly a worn copy but still totally playable and certainly of value as a place-holder until something nicer comes along.
Condition: Vinyl, G/Cover, G
My Grades: NM, NM-, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, G
