IN 1969 PARLOPHONE INTRODUCED A NEW LABEL DESIGN. THE NEW DESIGN REPLACED THE TRADITIONAL “YELLOW AND BLACK” LABEL AND NOW BOTH THE 'EMI' AND 'PARLOPHONE' LOGOS WERE PRINTED IN SILVER.  WHILE CURRENT BEATLES RELEASES FROM THIS PERIOD WERE ON ‘APPLE’, THE OLDER PARLOPHONE LPS WERE PRESSED USING THE NEW LABEL DESIGN. THE FIRST VARIATION OF THIS DESIGN HAD ONE ‘EMI’ LOGO PRINTED ON THE LABEL, THESE ARE NOW REFERRED TO AS “ONE BOX” OR “ONE MARK” PRESSINGS. THE NEW “ONE BOX” DESIGN WAS USED FOR A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME...PERHAPS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. SOMETIME IN 1970 A SECOND LABEL VARIATION WAS INTRODUCED AND THE “ONE BOX” LABELS WERE DISCONTINUED. THE 1969 “ONE BOX” LPS WERE MANUFACTURED USING THE SAME STAMPERS AS ORIGINAL PRESSINGS, WERE PRESSED ON THE SAME HEAVY WEIGHT VINYL AND WERE HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL TRI-FLIPBACK FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVES

VINYL CONDITION

Visual:

SIDE ONE  VG / clean...original LUSTER and SHINE!  Close and careful inspection directly under a bright light source reveals numerous wispy sleeve removal traces and light hairlines. These have no effect on playback, please see NM play grade below

SIDE TWO  VG+ /  Beautiful!! A few wispy sleeve removal traces and light hairlines are visible when held at an angle beneath a bright light source...no major faults to playing surface. Vinyl has a very minor edge warp that does not effect playback, please see NM play grade below

Audio:

SIDE ONE   NM / perfect...plays as new and sounds amazing!!  Quiet, demo disc quality!! All tracks play cleanly and clearly

SIDE TWO   NM / despite two very very soft pops during P.S. I Love You, all tracks play cleanly and clearly

From a collectors perspective this LP is visually not the most desirable copy. If visual condition is not as important to you as audio playback then sonically this record has MASTER TAPE SOUND!! Wide stereo imaging...well defined bass...clarity, presence and a transparency not often found on pressings of this title. If you win this auction and are not pleased with your purchase, return the LP for a full refund... including all shipping fees!

Labels:

SIDE ONE  G / a few very light and close spindle traces...no more than four. There is a partially removed sticker on this label...a failed removal attempt has lifted and removed a small portion of label paper...this is the only issue keeping the label from being graded NM

SIDE TWO  NM / no spindle traces or label wear

Sleeve:  VG- / Tri-flipback Garrod and Lofthouse front laminated sleeve. Front sleeve is glossy and clean. Numerous minor laminant creases. Normal handling/shelfwear with light corner bends/creases. Rear sleeve shows light and normal wear..no rips, no tears or splits. Touch of ringwear...flipbacks are intact

Inner Sleeve:  Original inner sleeve is not present. Vinyl has been stored in a protective inner sleeve

 All LP's are very carefully graded. I visually grade each record in daylight and directly under a very strong incandescent lamp. Then all discs are carefully play graded, at volume in their entirety, before each auction. Cartridge used: Shure V15VxMR @ 1.5 grams VTF

All records are shipped inside protective plastic covers. I use professional mailers and two protective stiffeners. When posting, I always separate records from their covers and original inner sleeves (if original inner is present) to prevent seam splits during shipping

I purchase Delivery Conformation for all domestic purchases, this is included in your shipping fee.
