Well, this is it folks. This is my last week of selling the big stuff on eBay! It's been a great 6 months and I hope there have been gaps in your collection that have now been filled. This week is my final push of some of the best records and memorabilia I have! Thank you all so much for following me!

Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Very Rare Original 1st Pressing on the Red Parlophone Label!!

This auction is for a copy of the Beatles 1963 UK Parlophone single Please Please Me / Ask Me Why. This is the very rare and highly collectible early 1st pressing that features the old style red Parlophone labels!

Parlophone were undergoing a label change in early 1963. They changed their LP label from 'gold on black' to 'yellow on black' and also changed their singles from the old style red labels to a more modern style black label. Just before the single label was changed the single Please Please Me started production, and the early, initial run of copies got the old red style with the vast majority of singles getting the black labels when the reds ran out.

Today it is very hard to find this single with the original red labels and they have become highly collectible!

Comes in its original Parlophone stripey company sleeve.

The Sleeve : GOOD+

The sleeve is holding up okay. It's look a little fragile but has no tears or anything and the seams are holding tight with no splits. There's a fair amount of light creasing and yellowing and a touch of wear along the mouth opening. There's rubber stamp on the side that says "Adye's Radio Supply, - Television, Radio & Record Dealers - 6, High Street - Malmsbury Tel: 221L (Could be a 4)". Nice bit of provinance there.   Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+

The playing surface has a really nice, crisp, clean shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffing. Nothing heavier though. Looking nice!

The labels are clean with bright silver text. Sadly the centrehole is missing, but the rest of the label is looking nice with just a little wear around the indent on both sides and a little rubbing around the inner edge with a small tear on side 1 ajust above the P in the second Please..
