BEATLES FANS - This is quite simply one of the best packages I have ever listed on eBay. 

 The winner of this auction gets the following:

The BEATLES FIRST CAPITOL LP, "MEET THE BEATLES" - still in its original shrinkwrap with original price sticker, along with its truly near mint LP and near mint original inner blue sleeve

• The cover is, quite simply, breath-taking. The front sports a deep black and the back is a startling white. There is no evidence of ringwear and the shrinkwrap has protected it for nearly 50 years! There is a small bit of corner bumping and the open edge has some minor bumping - but all in all, I don't believe you'll find many better copies than this one that are not sealed! There is NO George Martin credit on the back, which makes this a very early pressing, and there is a number 3 beside the RIAA symbol
• The record itself is magnificent with some evidence of unfeelable surface marks - the labels are near mint
• BMI is credited for the 1st 2 songs on side one and the 5th song on side two - the rest are ASCAP, making this an early February pressing - probably the first to be shrinkwrapped!
• The original blue inner sleeve - the first to be used by Capitol for a Beatles LP - has NO seam splitting (hard to believe!!) - there are no significant folds and there are no rips or marks!
