PARLOPHONE

1st UK Press 1966

Machined matrices and "KT" tax code embossed on the label. Three flipbacks on the sleeve.

Revolver is the seventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 5 August 1966, it was the Beatles' final recording project before their retirement as live performers, and marked a progression on their 1965 release Rubber Soul in terms of the group's readiness to experiment in the recording studio. The album's diverse sounds include tape loops and backwards recordings on the psychedelic "Tomorrow Never Knows", a classical string octet on "Eleanor Rigby", and Indian-music backing on "Love You To". The album was reduced to eleven songs by Capitol Records in North America, where three of its tracks instead appeared on the June 1966 release Yesterday and Today.
The Beatles recorded the album following a three-month break from professional commitments at the start of 1966, and during a period when London was feted as the era's cultural capital. The songs reflect the influence of psychedelic drugs such as LSD and the increasing sophistication of the Beatles' lyrics to address themes including death and transcendence from material concerns.

Vinyl:  EX.  Light spindle traces. Audio is A++  and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic classic. The audio has beautiful depth and there is barely any background noise. There are no marks or even hairlines. This vinyl looks and sounds great with a beautiful sheen. Under a strong light there are just a few paper retraction traces, these are completely invisible in normal daylight and even new vinyls will have these. I played this in full on my Linn Sondek/Rotel system and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this  again, it is indeed mega rare in this kind of condition these days.  Needless to say NO jumps or clicks.

Sleeve: EX. Front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve without any issues. Beautiful front lamination without any lift. A superb iconic sleeve with the sublime award winning artwork. Just one thumb crease near the opening and that's it!  Three totally intact flipbacks to the rear, without any peeling. A  superb 100% legible spine. NO tears and NO splits The album has been kept in a protective sleeve!!  No writing no marks no stains etc!! The opening is still crisp and the top and bottom edges have no wear. Probably one of the best you will ever find for this insanely rare album. How many would have survived in this condition over the last 55 years??
The original inner sleeve is still there.

International postage will incur an extra fee for tracking if over £30.00. Please wait for me to send you an adjusted invoice before paying. The tracked fee will be at actual Royal Mail grade. I do not profit from postage and actually undercharge.

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!  PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST,  if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees  and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again!!
