The Beatles
Revolver (Withdrawn 606-1 Matrix)
Black & Yellow Parlophone 1966
A really fabulous looking pressing of the Beatles Revolver, with Remix 11 of Tomorrow never knows!
The story is that John Lennon didn’t like the mix and asked George Martin to replace with a different mix of the track.
So EMI stopped the production and never one for wasting anything , the albums pressed up at that point were basically packaged and sold as normal.
How many were pressed? Nobody knows , but regardless it’s a rare one and to find in as fantastic shape as this one and it’s in Mono the best way for it to be heard!
Sleeve :
The Original G&L made sleeve is n wonderful shape with a really great lamination shine, with a slight toning mainly to the opening edge.
Minor issues are some very small Creases on the spine side, a thumbnail in George’s hair , a small crease in the final “R” of Revolver and a crease at the top of the sleeve towards the right near John.
These are minor issues but I feel it needs to be mentioned.
The reverse of the sleeve is also in absolutely fantastic shape with no writing or ring wear and fabulous flip-backs with minor creases on the top and bottom.
The corners are nice and sharp and the spine is also perfect and fully readable!
A really great sleeve and is in Ex++ condition, most would say very near Mint!
Vinyl :
Wow!
Examined under natural and bright light, both sides of this vinyl Lp have that wonderful just pressed lustre and a beautiful shiny glossy look!
I doubt that this vinyl has been played more than a couple of plays but obviously very careful ones at that !
I cannot see any hairlines whatsoever on either side , it’s so nice!
Very minor trails on both sides but these are also likely to be when the EMI staff play the Lp’s in quality control!
This vinyl is a real Near Mint, and most definitely would be graded as Mint by sone!
The Labels are also in virtually perfect condition with the label stating Song title/Composer/Singer on the label with the correct “DR” credit on the label!
