Highly collectible 1966 Japanese first pressing of Rubber Soul, catalog OP-7450, pressed on the original translucent RED WAX by Odeon / Toshiba Musical Industries.
This is a very complete example retaining the original ¥1,800 blue stereo OBI, original Japanese/English lyric insert and original Toshiba Ever Clean / Ultra C advertising inner sleeve.
CONDITION
VINYL: EX
Beautiful translucent red Ever Clean vinyl retaining excellent gloss. The record is remarkably clean for its age, showing only light superficial sleeve/handling traces under strong direct lighting. I do not see any significant scratches.
The photographs of the vinyl were intentionally taken under bright, revealing light rather than flattering low light so buyers can evaluate the actual condition.
Original Odeon/Toshiba Musical Industries labels remain very clean with some light spindle evidence.

These are early matrix/stamper numbers for the OP-7450 issue.
JACKET: VG+
Original laminated flipback-style OP-7450 jacket. The front artwork retains excellent color and gloss and presents very nicely overall.
There is age-related corner and edge wear, some surface/handling marks visible under strong light, and minor paper loss/wear at the lower-right corner. The predominantly white rear shows age-related toning/spotting. No major seam split or writing observed.
Please examine the detailed photographs carefully—the flaws have intentionally been photographed rather than hidden.
OBI: VG+
Original blue ¥1,800 OP-7450 stereo OBI is complete front and back and retains excellent blue color and printing. Shows age-related foxing/spotting, minor creasing and handling wear but remains very attractive.
LYRIC / LINER INSERT: EX-
Original OP-7450 Japanese/English lyric and liner-note insert is complete and very clean overall, showing only relatively minor age toning/spotting and handling.
EVER CLEAN / ULTRA C INNER SLEEVE: VG+
Original Toshiba Musical Industries color advertising inner sleeve is included. Complete with expected age toning, creasing and handling wear.

A very attractive and unusually complete example of the early Japanese Rubber Soul. The combination of EX red vinyl, original ¥1,800 blue OBI, original lyric insert, advertising inner sleeve and early 6/4 matrices makes this a particularly desirable collector's copy.
