Description
The Beatles Rubber Soul; UK first press on Parlophone, stereo (PCS 3075). Vital stats:
Vinyl: Excellent+++, with a beautiful sheen to the vinyl. There are a few minor surface marks that do NOT affect play – the play grade would be Near Mint!
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 (Side 1) and YEX 179-3 (Side 2)
Stamper numbers: GH (Side 1) and GM (Side 2)
Labels: Near Mint yellow/black Parlophone labels. There is only one minor mark around the Side 1 spindle; Side 2 has a bit of spidering around the spindle, but it is minor. No stupid stuff like names, stickers, tears, writing, etc., etc. Has the “Sold in U.K.” bit, and Gramophone in the rim print. Side 1 has the embossed “K T” tax code.
Sleeve: Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is EX. There are a couple of minor wrinkles to the laminate on the front. At the very top of the front, there is a faint line about one-inch (2.54 cm) in length, which looks like a repaired top seam split. The bottom edge does have a seam split of about 0.75 inch (1.9 cm). The back has just a trace of soiling. The inner edges of the flipbacks, where the laminated finish stops, show some soiling. There is some minor creasing to the right of the lower flipback. The spine is clean, although you can see the verrrrrrry beginning of a seam split. This is very minor, and with proper care should not progress any further.
Inner sleeve: The Emitex inner sleeve is Excellent-, with a split of 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) on the bottom and almost 4 inches (10.16 cm) on one side. It is clean, save for one small discoloration spot.
