THE BEATLES - REVOLVER XEX 605-2/606-2 MONO EARLY PRESS 5RDR/2GDM STAMPERS Year:1966 Cat:PMC 7009
- On offer here is an early pressed copy of this classic album with a respectable sleeve.
- The iconic laminated Garrod & Lofthouse cardboard sleeve is the earliest version with the Dr Robert text and Love You To misprint. When angled under strong light the front has a few light creases towards the opening which has some feathering. The spine and both top and bottom edges are fully intact with no splits or rubbing through. The rear of the sleeve is quite clean with a couple light creases. Graded VG+,
- The original sepia print polylined inner is fully intact with no splits and slight age browning. Graded VG+.
- The thick vinyl has good gloss. Under strong light both sides have a number of light marks and scuffs but no feelable scratches. Visually graded VG/VG- . The yellow/black labels have a number of spindle trails and Side 1 has the embossed KT tax code as well as the "Sold in UK" text. When played there is a background low level noise at times which is more noticeable in quiet passages and between tracks. It plays through fine with no pops apart from one stick in the middle of "Taxman" when the styus had to be moved on. Playgraded VG-/VG.
- Overall a playable early press bearing the above description and grading in mind.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
